12 Tags of Christmas - Tag #12 - Angel

Instructions:
I stamped a large angel stamp (I used Tim Holtz’s Angel Stamp by Stampers Anonymous ) using brown
Memento ink on smooth watercolor paper.
With distress markers and a waterflo brush, I swiped the color marker directly on a craft mat and picked up
the color with my brush painting the entire angel. See example or check out The Scrapbook Store blog.
Let dry and cut the angel out.
Take two white feathers and adhere them to the Angel’s wings using Glossy Accents. (Optional: cut a second feather shorter and adhere directly over the first feather to give a fuller appearance.)

Ink a Christmas message stamp with Tim Holt’s Distress Embossing ink pad (or use any embossing pad.)
Choose a dark gold embossing powder and heat emboss using a heat gun.

With a blending tool distress the surface and edges of the embossed tag with Antique Linen Distress ink

Using Scattered Straw Distress marker ink a solid small star and stamp all around the outer edge of the tag
partially off the tag on the sides.
Squeeze a small amount of Rock Candy Distress Stickles onto a craft mat and with your finger dab the stickles over each star. Let dry.

Add a strip of music note paper tape to the bottom of your stamped message.
Glue N Seal the bottom edge and side up to the tape and sprinkle with white Spark Tinsel (American Crafts) Let dry.

Adhere Angel to top of tag, add a ribbon at the top and three veneer stars, two under the Angel and one
in the hand that is off the tag with Glossy Accents.

Spritz with a water mister just to moisten and stamp onto smooth watercolor paper.
Run snowman through the Tim Holtz snowman embossing folder (optional)

Using Brushed Pewter Distress Stain, dab around the hat, arms and rounded section of the snowman.

Cut a section of a Foil Tape Sheet (Inkssentials) 3 1/8 x 4 ¼.
Place in a snowflake embossing folder and emboss
Trim around the top snowflakes creating a slop (as shown on The Scrapbook Store’s blog)

With Brushed Pewter Distress Stain, cover the top part of the tag about half way down.
Choose a small cluster snowflake stamp and dab the stamp with Picket Fence Distress Ink over the pewter stained section of the tag.
When dry, distress with a blending tool and blue ink the outer edge of the tag and lightly over the stained section of the tag.
With the snowflake embossing folder, emboss only the top part of the tag.
Using a Picket Fence Distress Maker (it’s the white one) color only the embossing part of each snowflake with the brush tip side of the marker.
Peel the foil sheet and adhere to the bottom of the tag.
Stickle or use a silver glitter pen to the inside centers of the snowflakes (silver sheet only) and around the edges of the silver section also the snowflake on the snowman (optional)

I had a small circle peace stamp that I colored with a distress marker in blue then I punched it out and distressed the edges . You may have something like that or just stamp or write peace on your tag.

Stamp or use a wood veneer bird (color the bird red using a marker or red distress ink)

Die cut a mini rosette using a cream and white patterned paper or use a solid cream or solid white.
Fold rosette and glue edge to edge with strong adhesive (check the blog for example.)
Stamp the words “on Earth” and cut out using a circle punch or die cut the words using your electronic cutting machine. (I used a distress marker and one stamp that said “Peace on Earth” and inked the on
and then the Earth under that (see example.)
Ink the edges of the circle with blue distress ink and adhere to the top of the rosette.
Stickle or glitter the edges of the rosette.

Adhere the peace circle to the upper right side of the tag.
Adhere the snowman (I used Glossy Accents) to the left side.
Adhere the red bird to the snowman’s shoulder and the rosette to the lower right side.
Attached a coordinating ribbon to the top.

Instructions:
Unity Stamps has the cutest button card stamp so I thought it would be fun to use it on one of the 12 tags.
Stamp the Assorted Styles stamp with brown Memento ink on parchment looking paper.
Use a small holly berry stamp with distress markers.
Stamp holly berry at the top of the button card just under the title.

From the Christmas Memories Stamp set , stamp the ornament in dark green distress ink onto glossy paper.
Heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
With a blending tool and red distress ink, color over the entire ornament tinting all the white areas red.

Stamp a pine bough in light and dark distress inks across the top of the tag, down the right side of the tag,
and at the left corner of the tag. I used a brown distress marker on the stamp to accent the branch of the bough after I inked the stamp.
Dab parts of the pine bough with Glue N Seal and sprinkle Rock Candy Distress Dry Stickles over the areas. Tap off excess, let dry.
At the bottom right corner of the tag stamp a small title, like “Greetings”

Pick out two red and two dark green buttons for the button card and with a needle and thread sew the buttons directly onto the button card. (you could also glue the buttons down.)
Distress with a blending tool the edges of the tag with a brown distress ink.

Knot a ribbon and trim, adhere to the top of the ornament.
Adhere the button card to the top left side of the tag and the ornament to the lower right side of the tag.
Add twine and tinsel to the top of the tag.
